I have just bought an Epson 2880 and bundled with it is Mirage software.
This is described as a professional plug-in for Photoshop and enables printing without, as it says on the pack, 'You want to get a print reliably dones without finding your way through complex printer driver options? Mirage gives you exactly the settings you need.'

Before I load the software I wonder if anyone is using it or even just looked at it? If so, what opinions do you have and is it really the 'magic' answer to printing issues. I rather doubt the latter but am open to being convinced.

I could only find this page on the DPNow site.... a Photoshop plug-in, but it seems a little short on details. I'm sure it's worth installing, as it's clearly Epson-recommended, but I can't see what it does (apart from that mention of Panoramas and colour modes).

Hi Howard,
I use a large format Epson 3800 A2 printer and have been using Mirage for nearly 2 years, a very useful bit of kit in my view. certainly worth getting it.

I believe there is a version for the 2880.
I'm running version 1.4. the company are very good and will send you any updates when available.
Also for new users you can even download a trial version, make sure it is available for the printer you use.

details can be found on their website...

hope this helps
