I am really sorry for those who have lost out re giftcards. I sent one to my brother in law at Xmas. I am sure that with his busy schedule that he has almost certainly lost out!....They have my money!.... Has to be illegal surely?

I would be so mad if it was my giftcard.

I used to display photos in our local bookshop. Now it has closed down!.. Damn, I love bookshops. All Amazon now I guess.

And no music shops also!....Is it only me or do many people like browsing music shops for long forgotton album titles and bargains. Nothing like the 'real thing'.

I am so against everything 'cyberspace'' Yet here I am enjoying this forum....

Strange why we have to go with the technology flow. Has its good points but not where jobs are concerned. Mental health will surely become more of an issue with nowhere to go for the unemployed like my good self.

P.s. what is the term 'Digital photography review'.

Cheers.

I know what you mean, and agree. I've always used my local stores, including Jessops, and have had a few cameras from them over the years, including my last camera purchase in December last year. Most books that I buy are from local shops, the exception being if forced to obtain a second hand copy due to being out of print. There's nothing like holding something, examining it and really seeing if it is what you want. That said, computers and the Internet are merely tools, another means of marketing, selling and imparting information. Used properly they can be good.

Good luck with the job search. I too have been there on a couple of occassions and know how how bad it can be. Best of wishes and good luck :)/>/>/>

Cheers JIm for your kind words and hope for all re the small business. I guess the internet 'warehouse' business creates many jobs also which is always a bonus. Yes I like the town of Chesterfied and surrounding countryside very much. deserves to do well.

Cheers also for your links and 'DPR' info.

All the best

Simon.
